The Nonantum Resort’s Marketing Director, Nicki Bean, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Maine Beaches Association. The group is one of the six regional tourism associations that works with the Maine Office of Tourism to promote visitation to the southern Maine coast (encompassing “Lighthouses, Lobsters, and Long Sandy Beaches”) and the state.
The Maine Beaches Association is made up of Chambers of Commerce representing communities throughout southern Maine.
Bean, who also serves on the Board of the Kennebunk-Kennebunkport-Arundel Chamber of Commerce, and is the co-chair of the organization’s Destination Marketing & PR committee, said “I look forward to helping strengthen our Chamber’s partnership with Maine Beaches, to enhance our collective destination marketing efforts and leverage our partnership with the state office of tourism.”
Bean is a native of southern Maine, having grown up in Hills Beach and spent countless childhood hours exploring the tide pools of Biddeford Pool beach, swimming in the ocean, and taking long walks to Fortunes Rocks Beach.
“We are lucky to live in an area that is so rich in natural beauty and outdoor experiences,” she said. “This is a great place to live, work and play. And many who visit return again or even purchase second homes here.”
