At the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport, July 4th is a very special Day! It is our anniversary! The Nonantum opened for its first guests on July 4th, 1883. There were 10 staff members and 28 rooms. Times have changed and today we have 200 staff members and 109 rooms. We think Henry Heckman, the man who had The Nonantum built would be very proud of our stewardship of his hotel.
Since it is the Birthday of the United States as well as The Nonantum, each year we have an old fashioned All American celebration on our lawn, complete with food, music and of course fireworks!

The Nonantum Kitchen Crew has been working hard to create a dinner worthy of such an occasion and will be serving a traditional Lobster Bake on the lawn (weather permitting!) Tickets will be $60 and include dinner (one lobster per person), concert, fireworks and parking. Children 12 and under will be $25 and children under 4 are free! Cash bar will be available!

This year music will be supplied by the Alumni Band from Biddeford. They will be playing all of your favorite marches and patriotic melodies. The band has over 40 members and is recognized as one of the best community bands in New England.
