January 29th is always a special day here at The Nonantum Resort as our Bar Manager Mark Wozny and our Executive Chef Steve True celebrate their birthdays! For the past several years our Innkeeper Jean Ginn Marvin and her family have made lunch for everyone. Jean’s husband Bob Marvin has treated us to such favorites as Lasagna and Lobster Macaroni and Cheese. This year he made a huge batch of what Nonantum General Manager Tina Hewett Gordon described as “The Best Chili Ever” as well as corn muffins. Jean made the salad!

And Jean’s daughter Colby made the cake!

Tina was in charge of decorations and hats, balloons, and streamers adorned Heckman’s Pub for the occasion.

One of the nicest parts of the gathering was when birthday boy Steve shared that he had recently been vacationing in Florida where he got together with Nonantum friends Jeff Duhaime for some fishing. Jeff also came to the party!

Steve also has visited with Gift Shop Manager Paula Walsh, and her Dad Nonantum Handyman Ed Hoover and the group went fishing for crabs. In addition, Steve also visited Sales Assistant Deb Littlefield and her husband Jim for a boat ride in the Florida Keys. It is wonderful to hear stories of Team Nonantum members having fun together in the off season!

A great time was had by all and we agreed that we need to schedule another lunch party very soon!
