1. Timber Point, Biddeford ME
Timber Point is a 97 acre peninsula that borders the Atlantic Ocean. This scenic 1.4 mile loop takes visitors past marshes, mudflats, shrub lands, and rocky shores. Timber Island is only accessible during low tide. At low tide, you can cross the Island and experience its beauty. There is access from the trailhead to the Little River and a white sand beach in Curtis Cove. 2. Kinney Shores, Saco ME

5. Crescent Beach State Park, Cape Elizabeth ME
Located roughly eight miles south of Portland in picturesque Cape Elizabeth, Crescent Beach State Park is home to the locals since 1966. Crescent Beach State Park features sandy Oceanfront beaches, saltwater coves, and rock ledges perect for fishing and nature observers. This classic saltwater beach park with grass-studded sand dunes has that ocean breeze that fills your body with happiness. 7. East Point Audubon Sanctuary, Biddeford ME
Situated at the very end of Biddeford Pool, East Point Audubon Sanctuary contains a short but spectacular trail along the permiter of the point, offering rare public access to this stretch of the Maine Coast. A short walk provides views of Wood Island’s light house, rocky shores, and coastal habitat. East Point Audubon Sanctuary is a flat short trail, but a great place to fly a kite or just relax for the afternoon. You can find off trail paths that lead to rocky sand areas where seaglass and sand dollars wash up. Make sure to bring binoculars for water and shore birds and grab a seat on one of the benches along the path and enjoy the amazing views.
8. Ogunquit Beach & Footbridge Beach, Ogunquit ME
Ogunquit Beach’s gleam with white sand separating the Ogunquit River and the Atlantic Ocean. It is an all-out paradise for sunbathers, bodysurfers, swimmers, and more. The whole beach is a beauty, but locals favorite spot is the northern side of the peninsula: Footbridge Beach. The name comes by how you reach it, a charming plank bridge over the Ogunquit River. At the beach, there is a little concession stand, public restrooms, and chair/float rentals. There’s something about sand between your toes, the surf in your ear, and the the gleaming sunlight that makes visitors keep coming back every year.
